SUFFOCATING SIGHT: PLAYING TRIVIUM’S ‘ASCENDANCY’ IN FULL

Suffocating Sight (made up of Chris Themelco (Orpheus Omega/ Ex-Eye Of The Enemy), Steven Montalto and Grant Burns (Ex-Mason) and Chris Sheppard (Naberus/ Modality)) tackle Trivium’s genre defining album, ‘ASCENDANCY’ LIVE on December 11 at The Leadbeater.

While Trivium’s Ascendancy 20th Anniversary was unable to make it down to our shores in 2025, that isn’t stopping Australia from getting its shot at hearing one of the mid 00’s most recognizable metal albums.

Hot off the back of the release of their debut album, ‘Dread Cycle’ The Absolution Sequence are BACK to remind Melbourne why Tasmania is home to some of the heaviest and most aggressive metal in the country. With their haunting and relentless weaving of technical death metal and progressive melancholy they’re set to command a transfixed crowd on the night.

Melbourne’s Melodeath stalwarts, The Incantus will join the stage to continue the Melodic affair alongside Metalcore up and comers, War Of One.

This will be a night to remember blending 00’s nostalgia with the evolution of the genre via 4 tent pole acts.
